The Foundation is the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports the efforts of Portsbridge Hospice. The Foundation was incorporated in 2001 and serves to improve the quality of life for terminally ill patients in hospice care. The Foundation also works to raise the awareness regarding the benefits of hospice care, and provides for the services that are not covered by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.

Donations can be made in memory or in honor of a loved one or by giving a gift in support of hospice services. Tax deductible donations are used to help provide services for patients and assist their families with needs such as medical bills, telephone and utility bills and other household needs that can become a problem during an already trying time. The Foundation will donate toward the costs associated with funeral expenses, visits from relatives, and "last wishes" type requests.
